The conference story
On 8 September 2026, Shiksha Kala Foundation Secretary Nikhil Gupta attended the launch of the Rajasthan Handbook of Youth Opportunity at the Adult Education Center in Jaipur. Seva Mandir and the Future of India Foundation organised the gathering through the YouthPOWER initiative.
Academics and development practitioners discussed the opportunities and challenges young people face across education, skills, employment, and livelihoods. The handbook launch brought research and perspectives from local organisations into the same conversation.
During the discussion, Mr. Gupta offered suggestions for broadening employment opportunities and strengthening young people's livelihoods. He contributed the foundation's perspective to a shared discussion about the role of institutions and community organisations in supporting youth.
For the foundation, the themes connect closely with its focus on education and practical skills. Access to learning, preparation for work, and sustainable livelihoods are connected concerns in helping young people build their futures.
